2017 BET Hip-Hop Awards Performances: Rick Ross, Migos, Cardi B & More

The 2017 BET Hip-Hop Awards took over the Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami Beach, Florida, last weekend. Hosted by DJ Khaled, the 11th annual show was taped on Saturday (Oct. 7), premiering on Tuesday night (Oct. 10). Rick Ross, Migos, Gucci Mane, Cardi B, Trina, Flo Rida, T-Pain, Playboi Carti, Plies, Trick Daddy and Yo Gotti served as performers at the award’s show. Miami legend and 2 Live Crew founder Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell was honored with this year’s prestigious “I Am Hip-Hop Award” for making a mark in Miami’s music scene for over two decades.

Cardi B was the biggest winner of the night, walking away with “Single Of The Year,” “Best New Artist” and “Hustler Of The Year.” As with every year, the major highlights from the BET Hip-Hop Awards are the cyphers. The 2017 edition was lead by a surprise appearance by Eminem, making his return to the Hip-Hop Awards Cypher for the first-time since 2011. Fat Joe, CyHi The Prynce, Tee Grizzley, Dreamville’s J.I.D. and more all stepped to the mic as DJ Premier held down the beats.
