DJ Khaled’s “I’m the One” Debuts No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100

DJ Khaled

The blessings keep coming in for DJ Khaled. One week after releasing his new single “I’m the One,” the record debuts No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Featuring an all-star cast of Justin Bieber, Quavo of the Migos, Chance the Rapper, and Lil’ Wayne, “I’m the One” becomes Khaled first-ever chart-topping record on the Hot 100.

It dethrones Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like,” which held the top spot for only one week. “I’m the One” is Bieber’s fourth Hot 100 No. 1, while Lil’ Wayne scores his third. For Chance the Rapper, he scores his first No. 1 and Top 40 record, Quavo gets his first chart-topper as a solo artist following Migos’ “Bad And Boujee” No. 1 earlier this year.

“I’m the One” is only the 28th song in Billboard history to debut No. 1 on the Hot 100, and first rap song to do so since Eminem’s “Not Afraid” in 2010. The record is the new single off Khaled’s Grateful album, due later this summer featuring appearances by Beyoncé, JAY Z, Rihanna, Drake, Nas, and more.
