DMX Fails Drugs Test, Sentenced To House Arrest

DMX is on house arrest.

After violating the terms of his bail in a tax evasion case, the controversial rapper appeared in a New York courtroom today (Aug. 11), where he was lectured for several reasons.

TMZ reports that DMX arrived more than 30 minutes late to the hearing and that he was reprimanded by the judge for failing four drug tests for marijuana and cocaine.

As a result of these violations, DMX has been placed on house arrest. He has also been ordered to wear an ankle monitor and cannot even step outside to mow the lawn, according to the report.

DMX has been out on bail in his tax evasion case. He is facing 14 counts related to tax fraud for evading more than $1 million in federal taxes. As part of his bail, he was required to remain sober and to inform the judge before leaving the state. However, X recently visited family in St. Louis without informing the court.
