LAFUPLIVE show is a comedy concert show created by the Ibadan based comedian, Lafup Bobagunwa who has with his works,eloquence and undisputed versatile power of humour put Ibadan once again on the map when Nigeria comedy and entertainment is discussed.
The show has evolved over time from Lafup’s college days as a student in the premier University of Ibadan where he produced numerous rib-cracking comedies for students and lecturers alike. According to Lafup, the show grew bigger than the campus and NTA contracted him to be a regular feature at the NTA Band Stand which travelled all across the country and we were sold out through the southwest states. Since 2001 from the days of the “Dual Comic” (Lafup and Sukki lala(his partner)) to the days of Laffomania, Efrebor Laff n Wound O!, Laf n Burst and now LAFUPLIVE…this is how we’ve evolved.
This year, one again we are putting up the biggest show ever. The people of Ibadan are in for a great time this Boxing Day (December 26th) at Jogor Centre. This year’s show is billed to feature Gbenga Adeyinka, Owen Gee, Lepacious Bose, Bash, Jedi, Skuki, Yemi Sax, Toun (project fame) Babatunde and Tomiwa(Sageblack) to mention a few. and of couse the big man and host himself, Lafup. The show will also feature some Ibadan upcoming comedians that the Ibadan grand boss is mentoring given them that platform he hadly got when he started back in the days. It is the funniest Christmas show that people look forward to experience with their family and friends. Also there’s always lots of give-aways and as you laugh, you at least give one homeless child out there a reason to also laugh this Christmas as 10% of all Lafup’s shows goes to the street children
