Stream Fabian Secon and 5iveBeatz new EP “Until We Meet Again.”
Fast-rising UK singer Fabian Secon and producer 5ive Beatz have finally unveiled their collaborative EP, Until We Meet Again. The four-track project features the previously released ” Rockstar “, as well as new tracks “Wilderness”, “Wasted Days” and “Crashing Waves”—a carefully constructed collection that tells the story of a broken-down relationship.
“5ive and I met online around January 2016”, Fabian explains. “Having a mutual appreciation for each other’s talent, we started working instantly. The vibe was very natural, and we spent a few months experimenting. Our aim for Until We Meet Again was to fuse alternative R&B, pop rock and trap elements to create a fresh, progressive body of work. The EP tells the story of a turbulent and troubled relationship, so there are dark emotions that run throughout.”
Speaking on “Wasted Days”, Fabian says, “‘Wasted Days’ is about the realisation that you’ve been misusing your time in life on pointless flings and being immature. The girl you previously mistreated means even more to you now. The song has a progressive feel with hypnotic sounds blending with a variety of melodies.”
The four tracks were helmed by 5ive Beatz (songwriter/producer) and Fabian Secon (songwriter/lead vocals) with co-writing from Fabian’s father—Grammy Award-nominated, multiplatinum-selling songwriter and producer Lucas Secon (the son of American entrepreneur and Nat King Cole songwriter Paul Secon ).
Until We Meet Again is the follow-up to Fabian’s debut EP, Don’t Disturb , and sees the coming together of two artists from London who have both taken major strides over the past couple of years. Fabian was recently touted by Complex as an artist to watch in 2017 and has had support from a wealth of radio stations and industry tastemakers, such as Jamz Supernova and DJ Target at BBC Radio 1Xtra where “ Sensaia” (150,000 streams on YouTube) was given BBC Introducing Single Of The Week honours by MistaJam.
