NEWS: GAME STANDS BY LEBRON JAMES, ‘R.E.D.’ ALBUM JABS

West Coast rapper Game has addressed his new R.E.D. Album solo effort taking multiple jabs at high profile entertainers including NBA superstar LeBron James and former affilaite 50 Cent.

A few weeks back, a video leaked of the rapper Game, in the studio recording lyrics for a mixtape. The verse was full of outrageous lyrical imagery. Soon after, he dropped “The R.E.D. Album.” The album — which debuted No. 1 on the Billboard chart and remains in the top 10 — featured a couple of LeBron Jamesbarbs, including one from fellow Angeleno and provocateur, Tyler the Creator: “Fall back like LeBron’s hairline against the Mavericks. … You lost.” “Hey, man,” he laughs, “we’re from L.A. We’re Kobe [Bryant] fans. It’s that simple.” And then there’s the whole “rap beef” thing. Game recently released a mixtape single, “Uncle Otis,” which takes not-too-veiled shots at Jay-Z andKanye West, and, of course, he had a long-running feud with 50 Cent, the King of Rap Beef. But Game says the public often gets it twisted. “Listen, it’s strictly competition,” he said. “A lot of people misconstrue it as beef. If you’re from the streets you know what beef is. What we do on record is just competition.” (ESPN)

Following a winter Los Angeles Lakers defeat to James’ Miami Heat,Game hopped on Twitter and taunted the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player.

“@bowwow go listen to #purpANDyellow n*gga & tell Lebron to either “pull his hairline DOWN or pull his eyebrows UP !#hairCLUBforMEN #mVp,” he tweeted December 25th.

“#LakerGang WE WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS HERE !!!”

“@bowwow QUESTION: what do Stevie Wonder & Lebron have in common ? ANSWER: Neither of em know what a championship ring look like.” (Game’s Twitter)

Following the Lakers’ championship win in summer 2010, Game released his Kobe Bryant-dedicated record, “Hustlin’ (Champion Anthem).”

Game releases “Hustlin'” (Champion’s Anthem) as Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers become World Champions again. Game was spotted court-side last night at Game 7 of the NBA Finals. Game tweeted just after the Lakers victory, shouting out to Lil Wayne, who released a Kobe Bryant song during last years Lakers championship run, saying he would hold it down for Kobe this year. A few weeks ago, the West Coast rapper said he no longer has any ill will toward 50 Cent despite going through a public beef from the mid to late 2000’s.

“Nah, [he’s not on the R.E.D. Album] but I recorded a couple of songs and I had him in mind,” Game said in an interview with hip-hop personality Tourre. “It’s nothing but love with him. I might shoot a shot or crack a joke here or there, but that was then.” (FUSE Hip-Hop Shop)
