Two years ago, TLC started a Kickstarter fundraiser campaign for their final group album. The final result was an overwhelming $430,000 donated by fans, over-exceeding their goal. Earlier this month, T-Boz and Chilli finally gave an update on their comeback LP, announcing the album will release on June 30. Now, one week after the news, TLC return with their new single “Way Back.”
A feel-good record reminiscent of their classic 90s sound, the track features a guest appearance by Snoop Dogg. When speaking on their upcoming project, TLC described it as something that “will stay true to the TLC sound, always confronting the real issues and life experiences that we all must face every single day, everywhere. We write music that people relate to…timeless music. No matter the trends, we feel like our music is always relevant.”
Premiered on iHeart Radio platforms on Thursday afternoon (Apr. 13), fans of the legendary group can purchase the single on iTunes at midnight in North America.
