Trouble “Selfish” Video

Trouble drops off a new visual for “Selfish”

Trouble released his Edgewood LP last month, his first project since signing to Mike WiLL Made-It’s Ear Drummers Records. The Atlanta rapper now returns with a black-and-white visual for the song “Selfish.” Directed by Derek Schklar, Trouble and his DTE crew hit the mall for an expensive shopping spree. Instead of keeping his new purchased items, Trouble returns to the hood and leaves them in the middle of a parking lot.

To best explain the visual, Trouble quotes Russian philosopher Fyodor Dostoyevsky. “The world says: “You have needs — satisfy them. You have as much right as the rich and the mighty. Don’t hesitate to satisfy your needs; indeed, expand your needs and demand more.” This is the worldly doctrine of today. And they believe that this is freedom. The result for the rich is isolation and suicide, for the poor, envy and murder.”
