Tupac ‘All Eyez On Me’ Biopic Wraps Shooting in Las Vegas

Benny Boom and the the Morgan Creek Productions film crew wrapped shooting of the highly anticipated a Tupacbiopic in Las Vegas earlier this week.

The acclaimed director worked together to put all the pieces together with the late rapper’s estate and family for All Eyez On Me — a film that will tell the real story behind Pac’s rise to fame and tragic death.

“We’re starting from before he was born,” Boom told Billboard in a recent interview. “His parents were Black Panthers. You see the struggles of his youth, his relationship with his mother, father figures that were in and out of his life, and what he developed into as a man from that. It humanizes him.”

The film is set to come out with the 20th anniversary of Pac’s seminal album by the same title.

“Our film is about truth,” Boom said. “It’s not about anybody’s side of the story. These were young guys acting irrationally, but hadn’t walked in manhood long enough to understand how to deal with situations. They had armies around them to hype them up. It’s a cautionary tale.”

While shooting the final scenes—which include the hours and events leading up to the fatal shooting on the corner of Flamingo & Koval—the production team was honored with a proclamation from the County Commissioner of Clark Country, Lawrence Weekly.
