XXXTentacion Signs $6 Million Album Deal with Capitol Music Group

XXXTentacion’s debut album 17 released back in August, debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Currently sitting at 313,000 equivalent album units moved since dropping in the summer, the Florida artist is riding off that momentum, signing with Capitol Music Group.

Billboard reports the controversial rapper has inked a one-off album deal with the label, worth $6 million. There is currently no additional details if XXXTentacion has a new project ready to drop under his new partnership with CMG. The news comes as the 19-year-old, born Jahseh Onfroy, is facing legal issues.

XXXTentacion faces aggravated battery, assault, false imprisonment and witness tampering charges stemming from an incident with his at-the-time pregnant girlfriend in 2016. A trial is set to begin on that case on December 11.
