The 2018 MTV Video Music Awards invaded the city that never sleeps, as the VMAs took over Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Monday night (Aug. 20). Cardi B had the honor of getting the party started, opening the VMAs with a brief and hilarious monologue. The 35th annual show featured performances by Nicki Minaj, Post Malone, Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, Logic with Ryan Tedder, Shawn Mendes, Aerosmith, Jessie Reyez and more.
Jennifer Lopez received the biggest honor of the night, as the recipient of this year’s Video Vanguard award, as Cardi B leads the VMAs with 10 nominations.
