Aina More has been putting in work in her music craft, a talented artist with a very unique style sending positive messages. More released the visual to and song to her latest single Ambience some weeks back and today news reaching us that she was a winner at the Big Music Project Awards. I’m sure a lot of great stuffs will come from More in 2015.

Not only did UK rapper and lyricist, Aina More absolutely stun the crowd and blow away the panel of industry judges at The Big Music Project Competition last night at the Indigo at The O2, she went on to win the competition where she was up against 15 other finalists all performing their best for a chance to pick up the amazing prizes including VIP invitation to Next week’s BRIT Awards, studio sessions at the renowned Abbey Road Studios and a chance to perform at the Royal Albert Hall.

The young rising star captivated the arena by incorporating a new age style of Theatre, Rap and Spoken Word, which was a true homage and credit to Hip-Hop. Supported by Creative Director, Linton Clarke, her band; Seni Joseph (drummer), Liam Stewart (Keyboard), George Cecil-Smith (Guitar) and backing vocalists; Camille Reid & Dominique Blake, Ms More was commended for her incorporation of a musical ensemble during her performance, as noted by judge and million album sales classical artist; Laura Wright

“You made me stop and think, which I think is amazing that your music made me do that… Your backing looks great, you need that support around you as well. Music has evolved so much, it’s a total experience, people want more and more from you as an artist and you really gave that”

Aina performed a 6 minute set of one of her latest singles “Layback”, and fascinated her audience with a display of theatre, met by movement and a mind blowing performance piece.

On the panel, Laura was joined by other industry heavyweight’s Hip-Hop duo; Rizzle Kicks, RCA Records’ Colin Barlow and Glyn Aikins, the A&R Director of Virgin Records. Aina received remarkably encouraging feedback and advice from each, which left her astonished.
