Born Aisha Sanni-Shittu, this former plus size model was the first runner up for Big and Beautiful Africa 2007/2008 while in Lagos. Shortly after she came back from the United States she recorded songs with Dr SID of Mo’ Hits and has done work with the likes of Modenine, Zato, Ex-O, Capital Femi and Teeto Ceemos. She had also been a back-up singer for the legendary Majek Fashek live at the ThisDay Music Festival.
Aisha’s main forte is storytelling. Through her songs you feel her emotions; her experiences with love won and lost. She pours her heart into her music taking you on a musical journey with her. Her lyrics are poignant and evoke tender memories, making you feel; making you tap into emotions you may have buried deep. With influences like Sade Adu, Anita Baker, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu and Bob Marley, she represents the two best things a singer can ; a well-scripted story, good lyrics and a great voice.
Currently she’s an actress on MNET’s Skits and Sketches and is working in the studio with Sir Victor Uwaifo.
With an album in the works, she will be releasing new singles and videos in 2014
