Alibis “Therapy” Mahogany Session

Watch Alibis Perform “Therapy” Live On Mahogany Sessions.

Alibis have unveiled new track ‘Therapy’, taken from a forthcoming EP via Blue Flowers. Having opened for The Strokes, played Club NME at Koko, performed at the legendary Blue Flowers night (alongside Frances) and picked up support across BBC Introducing, the duo will play an EP launch show at The Social on March 2nd.

Produced by Cam Blackwood (George Ezra, London Grammar, Billie Martin), ‘Therapy’ displays the pair’s gift for mixing the influences of classic Soul combined with quintessentially British storytelling. The ‘Therapy EP’ will include two further new songs – also the band’s first, fleshed-out studio recordings – entitled ‘Refuge’ and ‘Old Box’.

Born out of a long-standing friendship in South London, Alibis is a charismatic new duo made up of Richie Skint and Harvey Lee.  Raised on old-school US artists like Otis Redding, Richie left school and confesses to telling a pack of lies to get an office job, before returning from a period of travel to work as a roofer. Harvey, meanwhile, grew up on The Clash or Richard Hawley, but was preparing himself for life in the insurance game before he was introduced to Richie. The two flipped a coin over who would play rhythm guitar, and Alibis was born instead. The results are already affecting, intimate and suggest that Alibis are poised for a busy 2016.
