The music video for A$AP Rocky’s new single “Riot (Rowdy Pipe’n)” has finally arrived, and it doesn’t hold back on the decibels.
Pharrell Williams’ hypnotic production serves as the album’s bedrock as the Harlemite terrorises a metropolis while flossing and leading an army of white t-shirted followers.
Flacko raps, “My wife is erotic, I’m smoking exotic / My whip is exotic, my crib is a cottage,” as he rides a tank through the streets while dressed in a variety of military uniforms and a leather bomber jacket with a red kilt skirt, reminiscent of the late wrestler ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper.
The man brags, “Rag on my head like a Habibi / Canary, my stones look like Tweety / Pass on the sweetie, I got me a RiRi,” just before he is depicted sprawled out on stacks of cash.
A$AP Rocky’s first new music since the beginning of the year’s “Same Problems” is “RIOT” (Rowdy Pipe’n), which also appears in a new promo for Beats By Dre’s Beat Studios Pros. This is the newest song off A$AP Rocky’s highly anticipated album, Don’t Be Dumb. Hit-Boy, Boi-1da, and more contributed to the album’s production.
We have Pharrell Williams, Dean Blunt, and Metro Boomin on our team. A$AP tells Complex, “I don’t want to leave people out.” ‘We got Hitkidd, we got Tyler the Creator, we got myself, we got Madlib, we got The Alchemist,’ he says. We have Mike Dean, the Swedish House Mafia, and more that I can’t reveal just yet.
