At the peak of the pandemic earlier in the year, a lot of creatives spent enough time in lockdown to work on their crafts and Asha Gold is one of them. Today, the singer has decided to share a new song written in quarantine entitled “Debut.” The song was written on zoom with the help of producer Mitch Jones who brought the track to life with the energetic percussion and dancing piano line.
“It’s about falling in love for the first time, so it has this sense of innocence and sweetness throughout — navigating unfamiliar feelings, fighting those feelings off, and then eventually giving into them knowing they are genuine and not something to be scared of.” – Asha Gold
‘Debut’ is also set to be the opening track for Asha Gold’s first EP, as the burgeoning star shares, “This track kicks off the EP, and I love how the intro is reminiscent of the orchestra tuning before we began to play.”
‘Debut’ is out 18th September via BAD KEY RECORDS, check out her previous release “Too Good” here.
