Listen To Asha’s New Song ‘Medicine.’
Many things could be said about London singer/songwriter and alternative R&B artist ASHA, but certainly not that she lacks patience. After having built a serious momentum thanks to an impressive series of standout singles last year, she waited until now to release her first original song of the year, a compelling track called Medicine. But during the year she hasn’t just been sitting at home and watching; the Croydon native artist collaborated with grime acts Youngs Teflon on Down and DJ Eastwood via No Hats No Hoods.
It’s her solo form that fits her best though. The new track unravels around a cryptical and obsessive production with ASHA’s mesmerizing R&B-drenched vocals to lead the melody at the forefront. Speaking on it, Asha states “Medicine was about breaking the stereotypes in a relationship. Usually it’s the men in control, but this? This song is about the women switching it up, about us taking charge and giving the guys a taste of their own medicine.”
