On her much awaited new single and music video, “Falling For You,” Ashanti declares that she’s “over it.”
The iconic singer performs “falling out of love with a previous boyfriend” on a Bleu-produced tune. While getting her fortune read and experiencing the highs and lows of her relationship with her partner, she sings, “I bet you believe I’d never find another / Think I’d lay around sobbing for you.” “I guess you think that I would just sit here while you go looking for me,” the song goes.
Since she released “2:35 (I Want You)” after her Verzuz with Keyshia Cole last year, Ashanti has only released music as a solo artist with “Falling For You.” She has since collaborated with Lil Wayne on Moneybagg Yo’s “Wockesha (Remix)” and most recently joined Yung Miami for the Queens Remix of Diddy and Bryson Tiller’s “Gotta Move On”.
