August Twelfth unveils his new single dubbed “Kwasiasem” — the title which is derived from Ghana’s native language Twi and translates to mean fool/foolishness.

“Kwasiasem” is a vibrant and playful pairing of Afrobeats and R&B that was written about watching a toxic ex-partner be happy with someone else, whilst having to heal alone on the sideline.

In a press release, August stated that: “I like coming up with concepts that are relatable but written in such a unique way. The concept for this song was inspired by a friend’s situation in their love life. How can you treat me so bad, put me through hell, traumatise me in our relationship and casually move on to live happily ever after with your next partner? Kwasiasem. You fool!”
