Heading into the 59th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night (Feb. 12), the question was what will Beyoncé perform. News surfaced earlier in the week that the iconic entertainer had to change her original performance plan due to her current pregnancy with twins. The answer came just one-hour into the 2017 GRAMMYs, as Queen Bey was introduced by the woman who has served as her mentor, her mother Tina Knowles.
The end result was a breathtaking and incredible visual performance. The glowly mother of upcoming twins was beautiful as ever, surrounded by dancers and flowers while giving a thrilling performance of “Love Drought” and “Sandcastles” off her LEMONADE LP.
The night was already a success for Beyoncé, who won “Best Video” for “Formation” during the GRAMMYs pre-show, bringing her grand total to 21 wins.
