For the first time ever since the Cash Money war broke out, Birdman broke his silence on his ongoing feud with his former industry son Lil Wayne. Angie Martinez spent a weekend with Baby in Miami where they had a thorough discussion on the situation, detailing everything from Weezy’s breakdown in December to the recent events surrounding the rift.
In a trailer for the interview the Voice of New York had with the CMR boss, the latter claims “Nicki and Drake ain’t goin’ nowhere” in case Tunechi decides to depart from the label. He also reflects on Wayne’s initial shots at him.
Not just that and not just for [it to be] him,” Birdman said. “That was shocking to everybody. You never thought Wayne would be saying nothing negative about me in no lifetime. I never thought could ever happen — for that man to open his mouth and say something negative about me. S*** f***ed my day up. I love my son. He mean the world to me. For that man to say something negative about me, that affected my life.”
