Bobby Shmurda Rejects Plea Deal, New Trial Date Announced

BET's "106 & Party"

Yesterday, June 25th, Bobby Shmurda alongside Rowdy Rebel and their GS9 clique appeared in Manhattan Supreme Court where the collective’s case received a new trial date. According to Revolt TV, they will return in court due on October 5th. While there, Shmurda was offered an eight-year plea, while Rowdy was offered a seven-year plea. Both deals were turned down by their lawyers.

What is more, the judge will try to determine of if Shmurda’s case should be tried separately from the larger GS9 case and has appointed an earlier individual meeting on August 19th. He is charged with multiple conspiracy counts, one count of reckless endangerment, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and one count of criminally using drug paraphernalia.

In the meantime, Bobby was recently slapped with a new charge unrelated to the case. He was re-arrested on June 23rd after he received a “sharpened metal instrument” two days earlier. He was charged with 1st degree promoting prison contraband in the Bronx Criminal Court. This particular charge will not be included in the indictment he will face in October.

Last but not least, the “Hot N****” rapper spoke to XXL while in prison. In the brief interview he gave, Bobby reflects on the life behind bars, his supporters, Meek Mill constantly keeping in touch with him, and much more, without revealing new information about his case.
