Booter Bee is keeping his foot on the gas with “BBBBBOOTER”, the latest single from his forthcoming mixtape, The Buzz.
The Yorkshire rapper has been steadily building momentum with releases like “Richard Mille”, “Salah” and his collaboration with 163Margs on “44”. His latest offering takes a slightly different approach, bringing East Coast-inspired keys together with heavy bass production.
What I find interesting about Booter Bee is that he’s building his reputation without relying on the usual London-centred UK rap scene. There’s something refreshing about seeing an artist from Yorkshire establishing his own lane while staying connected to the gritty storytelling that makes UK street rap compelling.
On “BBBBBOOTER”, the focus turns towards his journey and the sacrifices he’s made along the way. It’s familiar territory for street rap, but personal experiences can give those themes more weight.
With the 14-track The Buzz arriving on 20 November, Booter Bee has an opportunity to show he’s capable of delivering more than individual standout singles.
The momentum is there. Now it’s about putting together a project that lives up to it.
