Bourne Releases Debut Single ‘Greezestyle’: Watch

Rising Nottingham rapper Bourne shares his debut single, ‘Greezestyle’

Hailing from the Midlands city’s St Ann’s district, 27-year-old Bourne’s lyrics are a raw reflection of his life experiences so far, growing up amongst Nottingham’s notorious inner-city community. With anonymity at the centre of his artist identity, his name is a nod to Matt Damon’s well-known film character, Jason Bourne. The Nottingham rapper’s conversational storytelling weaves throughout his music and sets the scene for what’s to come this year.

Speaking on the single Bourne says ;“I want the storytelling to be enough [to captivate people] on its own… I am trying to take you into the minds of people who are down and out, so you can really understand why we are like we are.”, explains Bourne“We might end up dead, in the pen, or with a bit of P in our pockets. It’s important my music reflects all those realities and that I keep it uncut raw, always.”

A UK rap anthem in waiting, ‘Greezestyle’ is laced with Bourne’s no-nonsense rap flow and atmospheric beats, an enthralling juxtaposition that is certain to become his musical trademark. Paired with a cleverly-cut music video directed by SUAVE (D-Block Europe, Central Cee, Headie One), the Nottingham-based clip introduces Bourne’s visual trilogy, a cinematic take of the rapper’s trials and tribulations.

Ready to share his enigmatic story to the world one bar at a time, ‘Greezestyle’ is an engaging introduction to the mysterious world of Bourne
