On his seventh studio album, titled “I Told Them,” Burna Boy doesn’t pull any punches.
The 15-song album include a love song to the women called “Sittin’ on Top of the World” (with 21 Savage) and an autobiographical ballad called “Big 7,” which samples Brandy. The album also included the songs “Normal,” “Trusted,” “Approved,” “Virgil,” “City Boys,” and others.
Guests such as J.Cole (“Thanks”), Dave (“Cheat On Me”), and Sey Vibez (“Giza”) make appearances. On the album’s penultimate track, the bonus track “Talibans II,” Byron Messiah contributes vocals.
The 2022 release, I Told Them…, is Burna Boy’s follow-up to 2021’s Love, Damini.
