Celeste shares her amazing new single “Not For Me.”
Following the release of her video for ‘The Milk & The Honey’ described by The Fader as “a vivid daydream”, Celeste is pleased to unveil a brand new ‘lost’ track, ‘Not For Me’ and a series of UK and European shows in October with chart bound indie darlings Skinny Living .
Celeste explains: “’Not for me’ is a song about unrequited love and falling out of love with the city that I grew up in, London. When we were in studio my producers Tevn and JD Reid began to play around with guitar sounds and we wrote the song within a few hours. A few weeks later, when wrapping up the EP, we realised that ‘Not for Me’ was missing. After searching through files I gave up hope. Then a few weeks ago we found a version on an old drive and I wanted to get it out to the world straight away.”
Having recently completed a series of shows across the UK with Blackpool star Rae Morris, Celeste hits the road again this October. She goes on to add: “I am mostly looking forward to visiting all the different amazing cities across the UK and Europe, and getting the opportunity to play in front of some new people. My set is minimal, and I will be performing some new songs that people will hear later this year.”
The hotly tipped pop chanteuse released her debut EP ‘The Milk & The Honey’ earlier this year through Lily Allen’s Bank Holiday Records and has earned raft of supporters in the short few months since making her radio debut as one of Annie Mac’s ‘New Names’ and finding herself on the BBC 1Xtra playlist a few months later with ‘Daydreaming’. Celeste has also received plaudits from Interview Magazine, who photographed her in London, DIY Magazine, The Line Of Best Fit and has also seen support come from Annie Mac, MistaJam, Huw Stephns and Phil Tagget. ‘Milk & Honey’ was also chosen as a Breaking Track by Beats1’s Julie Adenuga further cementing Celeste as a hot prospect in 2018.
