Chris Brown Pleads Guilty To Washington, DC Assault

chris brownChris Brown is ready to put the Washington, DC assault case behind him as he pleads guilty in court this morning.

Chris Brown was back in a familiar location this morning, as he headed to court as part of the on-going Washington, DC assault case. Last we heard from Breezy’s legal troubles, it appeared as though the plea deal in the assault case wasn’t going to work out, as both sides couldn’t agree on the details.

According to AP Press, Chris Brown plead guilty to a misdemeanor assault and was sentenced to time served. The r’n’b singer had previously plead not guilty, but changed his tune. To refresh your memory, the assault occurred on victim Parker Adams outside a hotel in Washington, DC last October, while Brown was still on probation for assaulting Rihanna.

During the court appearance, Brown’s lawyer, Danny Onorato, harped on how much Brown has already punished as a result of this case, and iterated that Brown finally wanted to take responsibility for his actions in order to get the case behind him so that he can focus on his career, including a new album and tour.

“To say that he’s been punished severely in this matter is an understatement,” Onorato said. Brown spoke once in court, to make a brief apology: “I would like to say to the court that I’m sorry”, he said.

The singer was seen leaving court with his girlfriend Karrueche Tran, as he was swarmed by paparazzi. Watch footage from TMZ below.
