Conrad Stone, a multi-instrumentalist songwriter who grew up in South Wales’s ‘The Valleys,’ takes stock of his life with the release of his heartfelt new track, “Moonlight,” today.
The tune, produced by Sonni, has wavy vocal melodies reminiscent of artists like D-Block Europe and nods to Conrad’s appreciation for US emo-rap. In ‘Moonlight,’ Conrad raps and sings passionately on the need of staying on the right road and resisting the temptation to revert to his previous habits.
Conrad has crafted a multifaceted musical journey despite having spent his formative years in the cold, bleak, and uninteresting climate of South Wales. He started out as a piano student and an acoustic pop punk musician before moving on to spitting bars over 140 BPM tracks on P110 and freestyling at drum ‘n’ bass events. He cites The Kid Laroi, Travis Scott, Green Day, Linkin Park, and My Chemical Romance as major influences on his self-described “underdog emo R&B” style.
Conrad is now stepping out of the shadows of The Valleys to share his distinctive and emotionally charged music with the world, thanks to a growing following and a thriving musical community.
