After gaining media attention with the releases of his Ed Sheeran “Shape Of You” cover which has reached more than five million views in 5 weeks, born & raised West London, half English/ Jamaican dancehall singer/songwriter and producer Culan dishes out his official single
Growing up in a musical family, his uncles built a fierce reputation on the UK sound system circuit; Culan would follow in their footsteps from the age of 16, going on to work with some of the genre’s heavyweights in Beenie Man and Gappy Ranks as well as vocal work on Wretch 32’s single ‘All a Dream’.
All the while Culan would continue his presence on the sound system scene, performing regularly at the Rampage stage at Notting Hill Carnival. His love and participation in the culture would in turn lead him to meet and work with a number of the most important urban producers in London in the form of Mo Keyz (Ariana Grande, Wretch 32), Kz (Stefflon Don, Kojey Radical) and Josh Thompson (Rita Ora) among others.
