d balenci has a unique emo-hip hop style and he knows how to use autotune in the best possible way for his tracks, which he engineers and records himself. This song comes with his truest pain and heart after a break up from a six and a half year relationship with the only girl he ever loved.
“This song is about a really challenging breakup from almost a 7 year relationship, and to me it is catharsis. She was an incredible person and I wish nothing but the best for her. I’m thankful for everything she’s taught me and the love she’s shown me. I know she would be proud of me now, too. This song truly just explores my own personal battles. It was written to help me sort through my thoughts and has been immensely therapeutic for me’’
