Off the back of a Sold Out UK Tour earlier this year, Dappy returns with the brand new single ‘Oh My’. Teaming up with Ay Em, who has been making serious noise on the UK underground and produced by Jay Weathers (credits include Not3s ‘My Lover’), the track looks set to cement Dappy as a rejuvenated artist on top form. With Unilad and I’m Just Bait previewing the track with teaser clips, interest is peaking online and across his fan base, eagerly awaiting the drop.
After selling out in under an hour, Dappy had to add new dates to his ‘Levels’ tour in February and March this year, with 11 dates in total all selling out across the UK and Ireland. Previous single ‘Trill’ was play-listed at BBC 1Xtra and was Charlie Sloth’s Record Of The Week on Radio 1 and was heavily championed by Unilad and other tastemakers online.
‘Trill’ concluded a trilogy of back to basics, freestyle-esque singles and music videos, alongside the critically acclaimed ‘Straight Facts’ and ‘Spotlight’ . The 3 tracks have accumulated 18 Million views so far and span grime, rap, trap, afro wave and RnB – reminding us of Dappy’s unique ability as a songwriter and performer.
Hailing from the West side of London Ay Em has a unique brand of melodic fused with rap/trap, afro-swing and Arabic sounds. Peaking at #18 on the Spotify UK Viral Charts, he has clocked up over 7M views across his videos so far. Check out his latest offering ‘Come To Me Ft. Geko and Afro B’ .
