Desiigner’s Felony Gun Charge Dropped

Desiigner’s one lucky man. The “Panda” rapper caught a major break, as a New York D.A. has dropped the felony gun charge given to the Brooklyn-native following his arrest on Thursday night (Sept. 8).

TMZ reports the charge of felony possession of a loaded gun as dropped after the SUV Desiigner as a passenger in as searched and no firearm was found. The allegation of Desiigner brandishing a gun was made by another driver, after the two parties got into a road rage incident in NYC’s Lincoln Tunnel on Thursday night.

At the time of the search, police found numerous pills on the console including the drugs Oxycontin, methadone and steroids. The D.A. has also dropped the charge of felony possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell.

Desiigner is currently being arraigned in an NYC court on Saturday morning (Sept. 10), he still faces charges of felony possession of a controlled substance and menacing. The charge of menacing more than likely will be dropped since it’s based on the accusation that he waved a gun to the other driver.

UPDATE: Desiigner has been released after his arraignment.
