Rising star dEVOLVE connects with Grammy winner Angela Hunte for “The Unknown”
After a wild 2017 that saw dEVOLVE rack up millions of streams on his own singles, be called on for official remixes for the likes of Charlie Puth, Portugal. The Man, Jillionaire and others, the launch of his new international radio show, and high profile appearances on BBC Radio 1’s “Diplo & Friends” and Apple Beats 1 & Major Lazer’s “Lazer Sound”, he’s capping off the year with a massive collaboration alongside Grammy award winner Angela Hunte.
“The Unknown” kicks off with sirens blaring and Angela Hunte declaring to “heed all the warnings”, setting the stage for this Caribbean flavored anthem, featuring uptempo moombahton drums and booming triumphant trumpets. The wordplay delivered by Hunte (who is the writer behind “Empire State Of Mind” by Jay-Z & Alicia Keys), weaves in and out of the dEVOLVE crafted soundscape, and combined they deliver a generational rally cry- with enough heart to make you think, and enough bass to shake the club.
