ATL hip-hop authority, DJ Holiday taps 2 Chainz for his latest iTunes single “Wassup Wid It.” The song will most likely live on the Streetz 94.5 radio personality’s forthcoming solo project and has the right amount of energy needed to kick off another glorious work week.
DJ Holiday spoke about collaborating with his fellow ATLien. “My new single ‘Wassup Wid It’ is ATL,” he told The FADER. “From the sound to our slang, this record screams that. I’ve known 2 Chainz before the fame and I love seeing how much he’s grown into this calculated genius with his wordplay. It’s a honor to have him apart of my new project, 4am in Decatur.”
Tity Boi is just as thrilled to be a part of it. “DJ Holiday is a legendary ATL fixture from the Eastside,” he said. “I have witnessed his grind and rise first-hand and I’m proud to see him winning. It was just right time for us to do something together.”
2 Chainz may have another collaboration with Nicki Minaj on the way, as well. The two posted photos with one another on Instagram over the weekend. Later, they both hit up club LIV in Miami.
Nicki recently curated a “Pretty Girls Like Trap Music” playlist for Chainz. This follows their previous collaborations on “Beez in the Trap” and “I Luv Dem Strippers.”
Their new collabo could land on 2 Chainz’ upcoming album Pretty Girls Like Trap Music album, due April 7.
