DMX and Dame Grease are one of my favorite rapper/producer partnerships of all time. Although he didn’t bless X with as many chart hits as Swizz Beatz did, you can’t forget that Dame was the man responsible for the bulk of X’s four times platinum-selling debut albumIt’s Dark and Hell Is Hot, notably cuts like “Get At Me Dog” and “How’s It Goin’ Down.”
Today the veteran producer dipped into the DMX vaults and shared this unreleased song called “Ain’t Nowhere to Hide” on his SoundCloud page. It’s not exactly the pair’s finest effort — and if we had to guess, it’s from the Grand Champ days — but it’s enough to hold us over until X makes his proper comeback, hopefully with Dame Grease behind the boards.
