Welcome to L.A.
Dr. Dre lead a star-studded cast of performers during the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI halftime show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA on Sunday (Feb. 13).
Perched on top of an all-white set resembling their hometown, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg kicked off the epic performance with “The Next Episode” and the home state anthem “California Love”.
Hanging upside down in a room full of dancers, 50 Cent made his surprise appearance performing “In Da Club”, while recreating the iconic music video. Mary J. Blige graced the stage with her Dre-produced hit “Family Affair” followed by “No More Drama”.
Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar popped on the field to “m.A.A.d. city” before launching into his powerful track, “Alright”. With Anderson.Paak on the drums, Eminem exploded on the stage to “Forgot About Dre” and commandeered the crowd to “Lose Yourself” before he elected to take a knee for Colin Kaepernick.
For the grand finale, Dre returned to the stage for a piano rendition of “Still D.R.E”, before he and Snoop segued into the classic song. California knows how to party.
Prior to kick off, Mary Mary performed “Lift Every Voice & Sing” along with an orchestra outside of SoFi Stadium. At center field, Jhene Aiko belted “America The Beautiful” before Mickey Guyton sung the National Anthem.
