Scary Hours as Drake delivers two new tracks “God’s Plan” and “Diplomatic Immunity.”
The 6 God delivers a surprise. On Friday night (Jan. 19), the rapper/mogul released two new tracks: “God’s Plan” and “Diplomatic Immunity.” Produced by Yung Exclusive, Cardo and Boi-1da, “God’s Plan” was a song previously teased by the Toronto rapper in various parties and hosting gigs going back to late last year. While that song leans more on the melodic side lead by a catchy hook, “Diplomatic Immunity” is 4 minutes of straight lyrical bars over the grand, orchestral production of Boi-1da and Nick Brongers.
“I’ve seen budding (Joe Budden) careers. Turn and sit around And talk about other careers,” raps Drake on “Diplomatic Immunity,” a subliminal aimed straight at Joe Budden. “Judging they peers, knowledge from ni**as who did not contribute to none of this here.” Both songs are packaged under what Drake calls the Scary Hours EP, available on iTunes and all streaming services now.
