Drake and Meek Mill have buried the hatchet. The two rap stars officially ended their four-year beef on Saturday night (Sept. 8), as the pair appeared together on stage at Boston’s TD Garden during Drake’s Drake’s “Aubrey & The Three Migos” tour stop. The Philadelphia spitter surprised the sold-out crowd, performing his classic “Dreams & Nightmares” intro with Drizzy backing him. Drake and Meek’s much-publicized beef started in the summer of 2015, after the MMG rapper accused Drake of using ghostwriters, specifically Quentin Miller for a bulk of his If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late project earlier that year.
Their soured relationship lead to Drake dropping the diss songs “Charged Up” and “Back to Back,” the latter receiving a Grammy nomination in 2016. Since then their beef seemed to have fizzled down as Meek dealt with legal issues and eventually went to prison. During that time, the Canadian superstar has expressed support for his former foe. TMZ reported the reunion minutes before Meek hit the stage, as his friend and Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin posted a photo of Meek’s wrist with credentials to tonight’s show.
