Drake received a high honor on Friday. The OVO artist was given the key to Toronto by Mayor John Tory, moments before tip-off of the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. A dapper Drizzy wore a navy blazer and grey pants, admitting he was nervous before the presentation.
“This is one of the greatest moments of my life, if not the greatest,” said Drake, who also serves as the Global Ambassador of the Toronto Raptors. “We have something extremely special in this place,” he continued. “I will never stop loving this city. I will never stop representing this city.”
“Delighted to present the Key to the City to @Drake,” tweeted Mayor Tory, with a photo of the two at centre court during the ceremony. Drake is preparing to release his fourth solo LP Views From the 6 in April.
