According to Republic Records, VIEWS has sold 1.2 million equivalent album units (from both digital sales and streaming) and has been streamed more than 250 million times globally since its release last Friday (April 29). Of those amounts, over 1 million sales and 200 million streams came from the U.S. alone.
Additionally, Republic announced that VIEWS will be released physically and through all digital retailers tomorrow (May 6). The album, which has so far been available exclusively on iTunes and Apple Music, will hit all streaming platforms on May 13.
The final sales figures for VIEWS won’t be announced by Nielsen Music until later this week, but there’s no doubt Drake is heading to the top of the Billboard 200 again, while adding another platinum plaque to his collection.
“I think I’m sellin’ a million first week, man I guess I’m an optimist”
