Drake’s ‘More Life’ Breaks Two Spotify Streaming Records

Drake is becoming the “King Of Streaming” as his newly released More Life playlist has set two new records. After becoming the most-streamed artist on Spotify and dropping the first album with 1 billion streams on Apple Music last year, the Toronto rapper’s More Life breaks the record for most first-day album streams and most overall streams by an artist in one day on Spotify.

Released on March 18, More Life totaled 61,302,082 streams on March 19 according to a Spotify representative. It breaks Ed Sheeran’s Divide album, which was played 56.7 million times on March 3. Drake also earned earned 76.4 million total overall as an artist on the same day, passing Sheeran’s 68.7 million. The news comes after Spotify revealed the Canadian superstar is the first act ever to hit 10 billion streams on their service.

First debuted on OVO Sound Radio over the weekend, More Life features appearances by Kanye West, 2 Chainz, Young Thug, Travi$ Scott, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Skepta, Giggs and more.
