In his latest track, “Bands,” E-40 focuses on the musical instrument.
The legendary rapper from Vallejo, California appears at Grambling State University in the music video (directed by Jae Synth) to express his appreciation for the material wealth.
“Ladies like the way I play the field / They love my personality, I’m real,” he raps along with the school band. “Suckers gon’ always be hella mad at me / ‘Cause I’m all about the mighty dollar bill.”
Since last year’s “In The Air Where It’s Fair” starring Cousin Fik, “Bands” is E-40’s first single. In addition to appearing on Snoop Dogg’s, Ice Cube’s, and Too $hort’s albums, he contributed to Mount Westmore’s Snoop Cube 40 $hort.
