Dre remembers Jimmy Iovine playing him a Slim Shady cassette tape and being so impressed he invited the white boy from Detroit over to the Interscope offices. Eminem showed up wearing a bright yellow tracksuit, but maybe that was an attempt to hide his nerves. “I’m pissing myself now thinking about it,” Em joked.

Despite facing skepticism and racism, you know Dre and Em were a match made in heaven when they made “My Name Is” within minutes of their first studio session together. The rest, as they say, is history.
