Only six weeks ago, Eugenia Post Meridiem, an Italian indie band on the cusp of greatness, re-entered our musical landscape and ignited the stars. They have since given fans two beautiful singles, drenched in complexity and oozing with splendour, leaving us stunned, disoriented, and yet not quite understanding what hit us.
As the last instalment in the taster trilogy before the release of their sophomore album, like I need tension on November 18, they now present the ominous and seductive “whisper.”
With the finish in sight and the exhilarating buzz produced by the first and second singles, ‘willpower‘ and ‘around my neck,’ lovingly resonating in our ears, EPM take us even further into their universe with the enigmatic and unfolding ‘whisper.’
‘Whisper’ is a deep breath, a time to stop before we finally put our hands on the imposing 8 track project.
With a kaleidoscopic medley of flavours, breakdowns, switch ups, and builds in both ‘willpower’ and ‘around my neck,’ third track ‘whisper’ feels darker, edgier, and even more exploratory, but still chock full of surprises, ultimately cementing EPM’s exceptional talents and unconventional sound which they have created.
