Far I is definitely not a newcomer in the Dutch Hip Hop scene. His love for Hip Hop dates back to the days where the likes of Public Enemy and KRS-One ruled the scepter. A time in Hip Hop where the message stood above flashy cars and first-week sales. Even though he grew up in the relatively safe Netherlands, his young life was scarred with pain, having a mother that was addicted to crack/cocaine. The uplifting message he found in Hip Hop made him relate to the messenger/teacher principle.
Nowadays Far I is the founder of HardHeaderz. Seeking to bring back the very principle that made him love Hip Hop so much. Substance, uplifting messages and above all Hip Hop music that comes from the heart.
Currently Far I just finished working on his new album called Samsara which is planned to hit the stores 9/11.
Ignorance (Blind Grandmother)is the second single of the Samsara album. In this song Far I finds himself heavily faded in the club. As he’s trying to “get” ignorant with his brothers, he’s really just trying to run away from his problems and responsibilities. The song depicts how a whole generation is losing itself in illegal substances, stemmed out of the feeling of not being understood.
