Rotterdam based rapper Far I drops off the official music video for “Grasping (Nuthin’ Bout Me)”. Recorded in a HipHop museum in Belgium, the video tells the story of Far I growing up with a mother that was addicted to drugs.
Looking back, Far I sees a lot of pain and unprocessed traumas yet Far I is so proud of his mother who was able to break with her habits and has remained sober for 15 years.
Grasping (Nuthin’ Bout Me) is a homage to all super hero mommas and poppas that are strong and brave enough to overcome the firm grasp of addiction. The message is also definitely very clear: Stop grasping to the past and let the present decide your moment.
