Frank Ocean is known for the unexpected. Episode two of the Grammy Award-winning singer’s “blonded RADIO,” aired on Apple Music’s Beats 1 on Friday night (Mar. 10), which came as a surprise to many as there was no announcement aside from a cryptic tweet.
Rumors of a new Frank Ocean record debuting on the show started to spread around social media. Just an hour into the show, those rumors were proven to be true as a track titled “Chanel” dropped on streaming services like Tidal and Apple Music. “My guy pretty like a girl, and he got fight stories to tell,” sings Frank on the mid-tempo song’s opening. “I see both sides like Chanel…see on both sides like Chanel.”
It serves as Ocean’s first solo record since putting out the albums Blonde and Endless last year. Recently, the singer/songwriter appeared on Calvin Harris’ new single “Slide” with Migos. Get Frank’s new offering on iTunes by clicking below.
