Frank Ocean made his official return to music early Friday morning (Aug. 19), with the surprise drop of the visual album Endless. Moments after the visual LP was released exclusively on Apple Music, it was reported that the Grammy Award-winning singer’s Boys Don’t Cry album will also arrive sometime this weekend, with a brand new title as the previous one was scrapped.
The surprises continued early Saturday morning (Aug. 20), as Frank Ocean debuted a new single and accompanying music video “Nikes.” The 5-minute clip opens with the now famous “I got two versions. I got twoooo versions” line the 28-year-old posted back in July 2015. The captivating features scenes that pays tribute to fallen soldiers in Hip-Hop such as Pimp C and A$AP Yams, along with victims of police brutality like Trayvon Martin.
A$AP Rocky and Trina make cameos in the NSFW video, which closes with Ocean covered in gold glitter as he wears a white sequin suit on stage of a theatre. Watch “Nikes” below.
