Frank Ocean has canceled his Autralian tour, after learning he has suffered a tear to his vocal cord.
Guess we won’t be hearing the audio version of Frank Ocean’s “Versace” freestyle anytime soon. Frank’s mini-tour in Australia got off to a rough start, with the singer experiencing throat problems while performing on opening night.
After seeking medical advice on the matter, doctors have confirmed that Ocean has suffered a tear to his vocal cord. While Thursday night’s show at Melbourne’s Festival Hall was meant to be the first of four performances, the OF crooner will be forced to cancel the remaining dates to recover.
“After last night’s concert… it was necessary to seek medical advice due to vocal issues Frank Ocean experienced during the show,” the promoter revealed in a statement. “It has subsequently been confirmed that Frank has suffered a small tear to one of his vocal cords and has received medical advice that he must rest his voice.”
Frank’s fall North American tour should continue as planned.
