Frank Ocean’s cousin is suing Chris Brown for unspecified damages because of the two singers’ brawl.
The Frank Ocean and Chris Brown legal issues are not over just yet– it seems like Brown can’t escape any problem. While Frank posted an open letter on his Tumblr looking to forgive Breezy, Ocean’s cousin doesn’t feel the same way. The r’n’b singer’s cousin is reportedly suing the other r’n’b singer over the brawl, saying he was beat up during the altercation.
Frank’s cousin, Sha’Keir Duarte, says in a new lawsuit that he was one of the worst victims during the brawl between Ocean and Brown’s entourage in L.A. this past January. Duarte says a bodyguard of Chris named Hood did the damage on him.
Duarte claims that Hood kicked and punched him over and over, including at least twelve kicks to his head and body while he was on the ground. On top of this, Brown apparently egged on his bodyguard, encouraging him to beat him up.
Duarte says he was permanently disabled following the attack, and he is now seeking unspecified damages.
A rep for Chris Brown says, “Chris Brown does not employ anyone named Hood.”
We’ll update you as this story unfolds.

[UPDATE: Frank Ocean’s Cousin’s Lawsuit Against Chris Brown Is For $3 Million]
Frank Ocean’s cousin, Sha’Keir Duarte, isn’t letting the Breezy x Ocean studio brawl go easily, as we reported awhile back he’s suing Chris. Now we’re finding out exactly how much Duarte’s lawsuit is for, and it’s a staggering $3 million.
Duarte claims that he suffered (apparently $3 milly worth of suffering) at the hands of one of Brown’s body guards when the incident went down last year. Duarte broke down his expenses as such, according toTMZ: $1,000,000 for pain, suffering and inconvenience, $1,000,000 for emotional distress, $1,000,000 for punitive damages and $60,000 for medical expenses. Does that sound right to you?
Chris Brown filed a counter lawsuit at the beginning of November, although we still don’t know how much the r’n’b singer’s suit against Duarte is for.
